Logo and Web Development
The Maestros are a collection of multi-city events that has been hosted by Latino Leaders Magazine since 1999. It has been hosted in Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Antonio, and more. In 2017, the event was rebranded from "The Maestro Awards Ceremony" to the cleaner, simpler "The Maestros". With this rebranding, I felt as if the event deserved a permanent logo to follow it across the country. In the same vein as awards ceremonies such as The Emmys, The Oscars, and The Tonys, The Maestros boasts a simplistic design with small tweaks to the typography and a glossy bevel along with the event's signature color scheme of black and gold. This logo is used across all promotional efforts, physical printed material, the event website, and all event collateral.
Logo and brand development
The DentalWorks Advantage plan is a discount dental plan offered to anyone wanting to save money on their dental care. The goals for the brand was to play off of the existing “DentalWorks” colors and to be playful and clean to emphasize the ease of becoming a member. A whole suite of printed and digital materials were developed alongside the brand development.
Logo and Web Development
The Latino Franchise Symposium is an event hosted by Latino Leaders Magazine. In 2016, I was challenged to create a logo for the growing event. Soon after, I was tasked to develop a simple landing page for the event that evolved into a fully functional website.
Logo Development
Twelve Tigers Media is a news-style media hub developed in 2015. The original tagline was 'Feed The Media Beast' and the iconography was heavy into animal motifs. The owner decided to maintain only the warm golden color and opt for heavy minimalism with the rebrand.
twelvetigersmedia.com is no longer functional.
Podcast Brand Development
"Come On, Get Real" is a podcast created by acclaimed photographer Kalyn Mastin and her business partner Erin Hendricks. Their inspiration was based on the color pink, soft watercolors, and a light, yet casual feel. The two host a bi-weekly podcast covering everything from sex and relationships to art and culture. The pair are currently working on building a backlog of episodes, all of which will be available on on major podcasting platforms
Company Brand Development
Stak Creative is a innovative design firm, specializing in corporate graphics, print-ready design and brand development. They pride themselves on their ability to fully realize client's projects from conception to production via constant communication and creative problem solving. The intention with this logo was to convey corporate stability with the typography, but a creative and slightly whimsical vibe with the nordic color pallet. The brand's website was also created.

Logo Rebranding
Danielle Reeves Photography is a small photography studio based out of North Texas. Danielle specializes in natural lighting, families, children, and couples. She was in search of a logo that could be used in multiple ways to convey multiple purposes. The flowing script is used mostly for her more whimsical endevors where as the sans script element can be detached and used in a more professional setting. A big challenge was finding a way to use Danielle's initials stand alone without giving off the impression that she was interested in medical photography (I don't know, Dr. Photography has a nice ring to it).
Logo development
Raðljóst Production Co. is an audio and video production company based out of Austin, Texas. Raðljóst is the Icelandic word meaning "Enough Light To Find Your Way". The owner's reasoning for using a foreign language word to brand their company? "English words are so bland. We have no accents, we don't have an interesting vocabulary. I have always loved Iceland and the vibes that it represents and I felt as if they accurately represented the musicians that we are representing."
With the existing imagery associated with Iceland, we decided to stick with a very cool-toned color pallet consisting of mostly grey tones and dark navy with a very minimal inclusion of a citron green. We also decided to subtly include a sketch of a lightbulb to harken back to the meaning of the word Raðljóst itself.
Branding Refresh
DentalWorks has had the same logo and design style for nearly 10 years. Due to the amount of practices sporting the DentalWorks logo (more than 150, and counting), a complete rebranding is an extensive and expensive task. The brand is currently in the beginning stages of re-branding, but there needed to be a change in the meantime. In 2018, myself, along with the Marketing Director, collaborated to develop a new brand style to better match the new voice we were adopting. While the logo and brand colors did not change, we made a few small tweaks to the brand in order to modernize it. Bolder headers, unique layouts, new accent colors; this was the revitalization this brand desperately needed. The full refresh pitch deck is located on the presentations tab, however, a few comparisons are listed below.
